In WILL, I leaned into my interests. I love learning new things, and that's when I'm happiest. I had just gotten into Formula 1 racing, and I sensed that there was an entire ocean there that I could just dive into and love and learn about and never get tired of. Then, I decided that I would need to go to graduate school in England, because that's where most of the Formula teams are based. I applied to seven graduate schools in England, four of which I’ve gotten into already, including Cranfield, which is easily my number one choice.

Through WILL, I’ve gained the confidence to go forward and reinforce some of the mindset tools that I'd already started to try and teach myself. I’ve been able to push through a lot of fear, and I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to do it, even if it's scary.

Through WILL, I've done a lot of work to help identify my values, which just makes me feel like a better, more complete person.I feel like I'm in a better place to make a contribution to the world because I have a better sense of self, and a better sense of what I want to do versus what I don’t want to do in the world. I’m very proud of the personal development that this course has enabled me to do.

Now, all my energy isn't consumed with surviving to the next day. I can ask myself, "What can I actually do to make a positive impact now?" Which is something I really hope continues, now that I will have all this time and won’t be exhausted all the time. I hope I can think more about what I can do with these newfound skills and values that I've found to make a positive contribution.

Last year, before I joined WILL, I ended up weeping in an airport from anxiety. I knew something had to change.

Through WILL, I’ve learned how to start making choices that are not based in fear. Before, it would have been so easy for me to just fall back into working for BigLaw. I got a call from a former colleague who offered me a job in law, and I'm sure I could have done that. Instead, I've done something a little bit bolder and there's no regret in that.

I have loved so much about being a part of WILL. The ability to sort of have this group of people, who I really respect and feel that they're in the exact same place, is amazing. I feel like everyone is just so smart, and we’re all on the same page.

Now, I'm living in Greece. I'm letting myself go with flow. I'm listening to the universe, and listening to my body more. I have so much less anxiety, and it feels really good.

Before joining WILL, I was very panicked because I knew I had really reached the end of my rope, and I was very much ready to leave. I felt very trapped and very scared, and I had no idea what steps to take to not only help me make the next move, but how to make my current situation better. I didn’t know how to just set boundaries, or how to say no. I felt like I was bottling up this thing, and I couldn't talk about it to anyone. It was pretty harmful not being able to be honest with anybody.

When I found WILL, it was like a ray of hope. I loved knowing that there were other women out there like me, plus a whole program dedicated to this one common issue. It was a lifeline in a very desperate moment, and I probably would have enrolled years ago if I had known about it. Because of WILL, I’ve ended up at a new job with a sports data company that right away, felt like the right fit. It's been a really healthy move for me, and I feel like I’m in an entirely different place in my life right now.

This shift has been exactly what I needed, and has given me time just to live. I’ve learned how to stick up for myself. In the last year, I've become very good at setting boundaries and saying, "No," not only at work, but in my personal life. Sticking up for myself was not something that I learned in law school.

I just feel so, so good, and I know I would not have had the courage to do it without WILL. I was able to talk to Elena and so many fellow members during that whole process, and I'm just so grateful. I'm feeling so much better now. I just feel like a completely better person.

The one-on-one coaching has been amazing. I went into this a little bit skeptical about what I would get out of the group calls with the women. I don’t know why I had that feeling, but I did. Honestly that was a real awakening for me, just what an amazing community of women this is. I’ve always felt that women, when they support each other, we can take over this world and do so many amazing things and that just bore out through the weekly calls with them. The community of like minded women who are smart and they have career minded ambitions, but they also want to write their own story and not just follow the norm. That’s inspiring for me and was an awakening.

It’s never a waste of time or money to take the time to explore yourself and who you are and remind yourself of what your values are and what’s important to you. We get bogged down by the daily grind, especially in big law. Taking the time to care for yourself is really important too and I think that the WILL program really, really allows women to do that.

In retrospect, I never would have questioned it like I did, because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. What I loved most about WILL was that it wasn’t just finding a new job. It was, "I’m going to help you figure out a new job that you’re going to like, and you’re going to do that, and that’s the goal of it."

For me, it was much more expansive, personal, deep, and transformative than just finding a new job, in a way that was hard to understand at the outset. In this way, it’s still hard to explain to people not involved in the program.
