I joined Denise Duffield Thomas’ Money Boot Camp back in 2014.
It’s been amazing to see her career grow and prosper. In fact, she has a new book coming out called Chill and Prosper (check it out!) She now holds monthly calls via her private Facebook group for her paid community.
I got on the call last week, and she said something that struck me:
The time is going to pass anyway.
If we put off the medical appointment, couple’s therapy or taking that course, because we “don’t have time” (and trust me, I’ve done this a-plenty), the time is going to pass anyway.
It gave me pause. Are my actions aligning with my intentions? Are they aligning with the future I desire to create?
One thing among many I’ve been meaning to do is go to a dance class at a studio I read about in Oprah, called Forward_Space. I don’t love their name, but I love their motto: “Lights low, beats high!”
A post-Covid sweaty dance class would feel crazy good right about now.
In fact, I’m going to go book it now.
Done and on my calendar!
Because the dance class will happen whether I am there or not.
What’s one thing you’ve been meaning to do for a while?
Start working out at Orange Theory?
Get Invisalign or set up that doctor’s appointment?
Book a call to learn more about WILL?
One of the tricks I use to help me make decisions is this…
I project myself into the future of each choice I am weighing, and ask myself: How does it FEEL to do this?
How about that?
One option usually feels lighter. Makes me smile.
Then I take the one step towards the choice that feels lighter.
If thinking about having a conversation with me gives you a little nervous, expansive smile, then I invite you to book in here. We’ll have a chat. There’s no obligation to go any further.
The time will pass anyway.
