It’s a means to an end.
One of my top three goals for this year is to up my fiscal responsibility, both in my business and my personal life.
To that end, I signed up to work with a financial coach.
Each month, I’m a part of a group of women business owners and entrepreneurs that meet with our coach, April. Together, we map out and play with our numbers.
I’m fine with math, but being on top of my numbers consistently is outside my comfort zone.
Yet… I KNOW that growth happens just outside our comfort zone.
I want to be the kind of business owner who knows her numbers, who can tell you at the drop of a hat what is happening in her business.
As this does not come easily or naturally, this is why I signed up to work with a financial business coach.
I also remember hearing Rachel Hollis say that she sat in the front row in a business seminar learning how to manage her business finances, and was literally crying.
She learned what she needed to do. And so can I.
I am cultivating the identity and the habits to go with it, that of a business owner who is on top of her numbers.
In order to give myself extra support and accountability, my cousin Sari (who is also a financial coach) is being my back-up accountability buddy.
In talking with her about some of the tasks I have to do in my work with April, she said this:
“Ready is not a feeling. It’s a means to an end. You may never feel ready to do this task, but how will you feel when you’ve done it?”
I said I’d feel proud, accomplished, on top of things, and like I am living up to the commitments I made to myself in the intentions I set for this year.
So let me ask you, are you ready to do WILL?
- Are you ready to transform your career and life?
- Are you ready to yes and sometimes feel uncomfortable?
- Are you ready to discover what else you can do?
Even if you’re not ready, beginning your WILL journey might be the means to the end that you desire.
Experience the relief that comes with not waiting another moment to be the person you want to be.
