As last week honored Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, I shared how much I love being an entrepreneur, and had an epiphany that I couldn’t help but say out loud.
Women entrepreneurs…
- Use their gifts to
- Solve problems,
- Make money, and
- Share the wealth.
I love WILL more than I can express, and have much to be thankful for…
For being able to create a positive ripple effect that will go on for generations, I am deeply thankful.
For you, reading this, though we may have never met, I am deeply thankful.
For the members of WILL, my heart squeezes and I get teary. For putting your dreams, trust and vulnerability in me, each other and this container, I am incredibly thankful.
My deepest desire is to help you shed what does not serve you, so you can share the very best of who you are.
In the spirit of women sharing the wealth, I am making donations to Camfed and OneGoal, both featured in this article from last Sunday’s NY Times.
OneGoal combats racial and economic inequities in the U.S. through enhanced educational support.
Camfed sends a girl to high school in Ghana, Malawi or Zimbabwe for $150. Thirty dollars covers a YEAR of elementary school. Thirty dollars.
The program then becomes self-sustaining. Once the girls are through school, they mentor and fund another girl.
Women share the wealth.
Here’s to a healthy holiday season and sharing your wealth, in all the forms that takes.
