Last night I met Elizabeth Gilbert…

When I saw Elizabeth Gilbert was speaking in NJ… I went online and discovered “VIP Meet and Greet” tickets available, and for only $40 more! Heck, yeah!

Liz Gilbert is high on the list of people I admire. Her core message resonates for me and thousands of others. It is aligned with what I offer in WILL.

I believe it is this…

Be true to you. Don’t dismiss yourself, your dreams or possibilities.

She spoke about three main things. The first two: Priorities and Boundaries. (I’ll save the third for another day😊.)

“Priorities are what you care about. Start knowing,” she said.

“Boundaries,” she said, “are when you draw a sacred circle around yourself and not let anyone violate that.”

Whether it’s your evenings, a vacation that is in jeopardy, or that partner who belittles you for a typo…a boundary says “no more.”

The people pleasing has got to stop. You matter. What you care about, your career and aspirations. Your time.

Before going to see Elizabeth Gilbert, I had coffee with a WILL client who is now extremely happy at an in-house role. She told me:

“Before I did WILL, I knew if I didn’t do something I was in danger of ending up of-counsel or partner. Not because I wanted to, but by default.”

Make yourself a priority today.
