When a witness gets on the stand they take an oath to tell the truth.
When a lawyer is sworn into the bar, they take an oath to uphold the constitution.
My goal for WILL, Women Interested in Leaving (big) Law is to help women lawyers find their truth.
The women I work with are ambitious, hardworking and smart. They could make partner. That carrot is dangling just in front of them. It’s something the firms want them to do.
But what do THEY want?
If the above description fits you… What do YOU want?
I stand for you digging in and figuring out what it is you truly want for your life, and career.
I stand against living a life based on “should”.
“I should make partner because I can. I should stay because I’ve invested so much.”
What is the “should” you are telling yourself about your career? What do you want to swear to uphold? The firm’s goals? Or yours?
I don’t know the answers in your heart, only you do. Sometimes the whispers of our hearts are hard to hear.
WILL can help you hear and follow what they are saying.
This is the truth for me and what I want to accomplish in WILL.
What is your truth?
